Unique Apparel Printing

Growing up we always had three Thanksgivings. One was at my mother’s parents’ house on Thanksgiving Day. One was at my father’s parents’ house usually the following weekend. And a third was just us – my mom, dad, brother and sister – that we would have maybe a week or two after Thanksgiving. My mom loved the food, and especially loved making turkey gravy with the leftovers so she always wanted to make the big meal. We made it unique by using the good plates that my mom and dad had gotten for a wedding gift, and the meal that we had at home was always the best in my opinion. Now that I’m grown with a husband and kids of my own, we only have one big family Thanksgiving, at my mom and dad’s house, but since that was moved to the Saturday after Thanksgiving a couple of years ago, I have started doing my own (simplified) Thanksgiving meal for just my husband and kids and me. And just like when I was a kid, we use the good dishes that my husband and I got as a wedding gift for this one meal only, and my kids love it and I know they will remember it just as fondly I as I remember it in my house growing up. And they’ll probably remember almost as clearly as the year I tried to burn down the house while cooking the dinner, but that’s another story. Thank goodness there are no digital photographs that have recorded THAT event for posterity…
