Signs and Stickers

Tonight I must admit that I was truly the height of restraint and maturity. Because of such, I should have a digitally printed banner raised in my honor. Yes indeedy. Or something. You see, Darling Hubby and my twelve year old daughter have discovered a new show to watch on Netflix (well not new since it’s actually about ten years old, but that’s beside the point) called Roswell. Remember that one? You know, the one about teenage aliens in Roswell, Arizona who didn’t exactly want a digitally printed sign put up in town letting everyone know they were aliens? Anyway, in the couple of the episodes I watched with them tonight there seemed to be an awful lot of kissing going on. So every time someone would kiss, I would shout “Ow! My retinas! My retinas! They’re burning!” or “Ew! Gross!” or “Jeez, I think we’ve got quite the slobberfest going on tonight” or one time when one guy was just about to kiss another different girl, “See? Now he’s going to swap spit with this chic instead. Pig.” It sure gave me a giggle and I couldn’t possibly have been annoying at all. Nope. Not one bit. The fact that my daughter very nearly slapped a digitally printed sticker over my mouth in order to shut me up is completely notwithstanding.
