Red Id Card = Important!!

Yesterday, I needed to print out a Form 990 (Information return that charities are required to submit annually to the IRS) for my Reporting for Accountants class (IDS 390W). Unfortunately, I did not have my Red Id card on me. In the beginning of the semester, I put $10 dollars in my Red ID card because my printer at home had been acting up. In addition, I have been so busy checking out other organization, going to meetings, and studying for my accounting classes that I have not been able to replace the cartridge.

What I like about Love Library is that printing is $.10/ black and white page and $.20/ colored page. I ended up borrowing a Red ID card from my friend and deposited $3.00 into the card.  Another option was to buy a temporary printing card for a $1 and then put more money into the account. By the way, when you buy a printing card, it starts with $0 balance. I’d rather borrow a friend’s card then buy a printing card.

Later that day, I needed to check out headphones in order to listen to a podcast for my Accounting 321 class. I was directed to the 24/7 Information Desk. I approached the IT assistant and asked him for a pair of headphones. He asked for my red id. Again, I did not have it. I told him I had my Driver’s License. I thought the driver’s license would be more valuable, but he said no. He said that they only accept Red Id cards.

The bottom line: Red ID cards are important. Always make sure you always have it on you. You never know when you will need it. If you lose your ID card, go to the SDSU Card office located in Aztec Center. Its costs $10 for a new one.
