Photos in Signs
My sister mentioned to me at our family’s Thanksgiving dinner that her employer may have need of some of my photos. She makes signs 
and lettering for a living and a client that they have currently begun working with has blades of grass in their logo. She and her boss have begun experimenting with actual photos in their sign designs. She thought I might be a good person to go to when they have need of a stock type photo since they would be able to get permission to use it without jumping through a bunch of hoops and taking a long time to get that permission. So in this particular case, I went through the digital photos that I have on my hard drive and found a couple that I thought might be what they are looking for. One of them is fairly recent so was on my Flickr account so I sent her an email with that link in it, that way they could also look through the other stuff I’ve done recently in case there is anything else they may need for a different signs and banners for their clients. It’s pretty exciting that some of my photos might actually begin to be used commercially.
