Microsoft has decided to cancel Courier — the next-generation tablet that was in incubation at the company. Pieces of the Courier project still may materialize in other Microsoft products at some point, but there are no concrete plans to that effect, Microsoft officials said on April 29.

Although Microsoft execs have attempted to assure business users that the coming Windows Phone 7 devices wouldn’t be overly consumer-centric, more than a few enterprise customers already have written them off. But maybe Microsoft hasn’t turned its back on mobile business customers after all.
This year’s HotelChatter look at Wi-Fi: The look at best and worst hotels and chains’ Wi-Fi experiences has a great note in the introduction: “…The majority of guests view WiFi the same way–as a must-have amenity, not something they should pay for. This is the conundrum for hoteliers today, how can all this demand for more access translate into a revenue source, without alienating guests?”
