Some may think I’m nuts. Some may think I’m crazy. Some would probably be right. It is just mid-November and I’ve already started listening to my Christmas music. As it turns out, I’ve been spending a lot of time in my library lately and while in there, I have a tendency to put on the Christmas tunes. I can’t help it. Christmas music makes me smile no matter what time of year it is. And every year, I peruse online catalogs to see if there is any new Christmas music I want to buy that year. You put on some early Mannheim Steamroller or ‘The Christmas Song’ by Nat King Cole and all my worries and cares just melt away. A smile crosses my face and I am transported to all the happy Christmases I had as a child. Now I’ll grant you, Christmas music doesn’t have quite the same effect if it’s not within about two or so months before Christmas, but I still love it all year round nonetheless. So it’s late, it’s cold outside, and it’s time to start making a menu for Thanksgiving so I think I’ll stop working for now, put on some Amy Grant, use my digital printer to make customized pieces of Christmas decorations for my library walls and float away into the holiday spirit.
